Nundah is a primarily residential suburb of Brisbane, approximately 8 km north-east of the CBD. Since 2008, the Brisbane City Council suburban renewal programme has seen new art installations, cafés and commercial enterprises open in Nundah. The commercial area is based around Sandgate Road, with Toombul Shopping Centre and Nundah Village, as well restaurants and retail stores, along the road. Nundah has a state primary school, independent schools and a state high school, and there are other options in the surrounding suburbs. A number of parks are located in the wider area, as are many local sports clubs. Owing to its inner-northern location, there is a variety of options for transport, with Nundah City and Toombul City railways stations located within the suburb. Both of these stations are on the Caboolture and Shorncliffe railways lines, giving them 15-minute frequencies throughout the day, seven days a week. There are many council bus services that run through the area, including the Great Circle Line. Brisbane Airport is three kilometres away.
