About The Premises

This practice is conveniently located in a large sub-regional shopping centre that caters to the local community and surrounding towns. The premises contains two fully equipped surgeries, both of which had new chairs installed in September 2016, a small lab and an OPG machine. White tiles, furnishings and fittings contrast against bold violet feature walls, giving the reception and waiting area a modern, fresh appearance. Highly visible signage and branding is displayed on the front glass windows, advertising the practice to busy foot and car traffic outside the centre. The practice sits next to a pathologist, major supermarket and large pharmacy.

About The Area

Griffith is located in south-western New South Wales, approximately 6 hours west of Sydney, 5 hours north of Melbourne, 4 hours from Canberra, and also has direct flights to and from Sydney.  The area is one of the most productive agricultural regions in Australia, and is home to several large production wineries. Griffith and other towns were created as part of the NSW State Government's Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA) project, a plan to supply irrigation from the Murrumbidgee River, in order to open up western New South Wales for farming. Griffith's main streets and commercial areas are Banna Avenue and Yambil Streets, but commercial growth has occurred throughout the city, including the development of several shopping centres. Griffith is the third-largest centre for education in the Riverina, after Wagga Wagga and Leeton. Griffith is home to two high schools, 13 primary schools and one of the largest TAFE campuses in Australia.
