High grossing clinic in South Australia

About the practice

This practice was purchased in late 2001 by a husband and wife team, who expanded the practice to include a comprehensive range of treatments for small animals (including boarding and grooming) and equine support. The spacious practice is located over two adjoining plots, on which there is also a residential dwelling. The business enjoys strong year-on-year figures and has become an essential part of the community. This sale is a great opportunity to take over a highly successful practice with a dedicated team.

About the area

Port Augusta is situated approximately 310 kms north of the Adelaide CBD. It is a large township with a population of approximately 13,500, located at the top of the Spencer Gulf.

Port Augusta is known as the "crossroads of Australia,". It sits at the junction of major road and rail links, many of which are located on the east coast of the Spenser Gulf. Port Augusta has good shopping facilities and most government services are available; the town acts as a supply point for tourists travelling across Australia.

Port Augusta consists of an urban area extending along the Augusta and Eyre Highways from the coastal plain on the west side of the Flinders Ranges in the east, across the Spencer Gulf to Eyre Peninsula in the west. The urban area consists of the suburbs of Port Augusta and Davenport (on the eastern side of Spencer Gulf), and Port Augusta West on the Eyre Peninsula.
