AWARD-WINNING, MODERN CLINIC IN A CHARMING MELBOURNE SUBURB
About the practice
Established in 2001, this clinic is dedicated to caring for the pets and people of the Yarra Ranges 24 hours-a-day. After winning the Lilydale & Yarra Ranges Business Awards for Professional Services for three consecutive years, the clinic was inducted into the Hall of Fame. The owner is selling to phase into retirement and is happy to stay on post-sale to ensure a smooth transition. The clinic is currently open seven days-a-week, with emergency services year-round, and specialises in the treatment of household pets and small animals.
About the premises
The clinic sits on a corner block in a converted residential building, adjoining a strip mall and opposite lush parklands. Large signage outside the building makes the practice visible to passing traffic and the clientele of neighbouring businesses. The premises contains a large surgery with purpose-built equipment, and uses the latest technology and modern monitoring equipment. It has two consultation rooms, a preparation and recovery room, additional recovery quarters, an office, laundry, ample storage space and a spacious reception and waiting area.
The clinic is accessible via bus and train and is approximately a 45-minute drive from the heart of the CBD.
About the area
Located north-east of Melbourne's CBD, this attractive suburb features parklands, sports clubs, two country clubs and a large shopping centre. The shopping centre, which opened in 1979 as a small convenience shopping centre, has grown over the years to include businesses such as Kmart, Target, Woolworths, Coles and Reading Cinemas. The residential area was originally structured around a large 18-hole golf course; this has now closed and construction has commenced on a new estate, with 600 new residential homes to be built. Further residential development exists to the west and north, including new medical facilities. Part of the suburb has managed to maintain a rural feel, extending well into the Yarra Valley to the north, with commercial wineries, orchards and livestock farming, as well as large residential estates. There is also a Golf and Country Club in the northwest corner of the suburb, directly on the Yarra River.
