If you are thinking about selling your dental practice DIY, then think again. If I can give you two words of advice re Simon Palmer - "HIRE HIM!”
Selling a practice is stressful enough, mentally, but Simon comes on the scene with his vast list of potential buyers & sifts through them via inspections, interviews & negotiations. Before you know it, a contract is formulated & you (the seller) have been carrying on your practice in the meantime, as if nothing has happened. Could not have wished for more!

Just a short note to express my gratitude for the work you put in, getting my dental practice sale over the line. From the beginning to the end you were a constant support and your honesty, strategy and professionalism exceeded my expectations. Buying a practice has many aspects, let alone the competition with other buyers. The process was stressful to me, but Simon was very helpful. I have known Simon for almost 3 years now. I recently engaged the services of Simon Palmer to sell a practice of mine, after recommendation of his services from another dentist. Previously I have sold practices myself and also used another broker.

The group that bought my practice visited within 1 week of listing. We received offers pretty quickly and got what we wanted for the practice. The speed of sale was a testimony to his extensive database of buyers, as well as knowledge of the type of practice different buyers may be looking for. Within a week he had organised at least 5 parties to view the practice.

Definitely exceeded my expectations. I was  kept informed throughout the process and after the first viewing got a comprehensive list of all the parties that saw the practice and their feedback on the practice and their likelihood of making an offer. This came by way of a written document on the Monday after the viewing. This exceeded my expectations by far, and was certainly not what I had experienced with other brokers.

Simon insisted on gathering all information before he listed the practice, which he compiled into an information memorandum. He has vast experience selling practices so knows the common requests and needs of buyers and as such got all this on the front end. The purchasers had all required info for their due diligence and I wasn't being hassled for more and more information. My previous experience was that information was only requested in dribs and drabs when requested by a buyer and as such, the whole process can get dragged out a bit. This method made everything very smooth. He also communicated with both parties solicitors as required.

It was a pretty smooth process as far as the brokerage goes. We didn't have to attend any viewings (my weekends are important to me); Simon showed buyers through himself. My previous experience was more of an introduction service where buyers were introduced and then we had to show them thru the practices. All this was taken care of. He was also very discreet in terms of staff. We had a competitor look at our practice and Simon had researched all potential buyers and was very coy in the information he gave out in the early stages with this particular person. Basically protecting our interests. Although the ADA and Medfin websites offer a cheap way to sell your practice, the breadth of buyers Simon has access to is phenomenal. Many buyers do not actively check the websites and further, many of Simon's database have made clear to Simon the exact requirements of what they look for in a practice and they are willing to pay good prices for practices that meet this criteria.
